Our Expertise & Memberships
SeaSide Events is a fully accredited member of the CLIA (Cruise Lines Int’l Association), as well as Travel Leaders Network, North America’s largest travel consortia and the largest cruise distributor in North America. From a cruise event perspective, we are fully certified by both CLIA and Meeting Planners International (MPI) to organize, conduct and manage group meetings and events onboard cruise ships. We are also very proud of our Ship Charter Broker certification from ASBA (Association of Ship Brokers and Agents).
Experienced Leadership
Seaside Events was founded and currently managed by Robert Chamberlin, a well-known cruise industry professional with over 25 years of experience in the travel and events industry. Robert served as a navigation officer in the U.S. Navy and has since been actively involved in the Cruise industry holding several senior management positions in port operations, sales & marketing, e-commerce, and Cruise-based MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) events with both major cruise lines and cruise distributors. Over the years Robert and his teams have held several large group events onboard cruise ships in both North America, as well as Europe and Australia, thus gaining first-hand experience in the complexities, as well as benefits, of cruise ship-based events. Robert is an active member of CLIA (Cruise Lines Int’l Association). as well as MPI (Meeting Planners Int’l) and holds a CLIA/MPI Certificate on Meetings & Events at Sea.
